Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your last name. Always ensure that it is the same name on your passport.
The history section of the Application for Saint Lucian Citizenship Form SL5, requires you to list each country where you have lived in the last ten years. For each place of residence include the month and year you started living at that location in the From column and the month and year you stopped living at that location in the To column.
Where you need additional space to complete your explanation, please include a separate sheet of paper. On the top of that separate sheet, indicate the name of the form and the number corresponding to the question you are answering.
Before deciding that a particular question on the application form does not apply to you, please verify with your Authorised Agent. Once it has been determined that the question does not apply to you, write N/A in the space allocated for the answer to the question.
All supporting documents must be submitted in the original language. Where the original language of the supporting document is NOT English, then you MUST also submit an authenticated English translation of the original. Therefore in the cases where the original supporting document is not in English, you will have two submissions ? one of the original document accompanied by the English translation. Where the original supporting document is in English, only the English document is required.
Every applicant MUST use a licenced Authorised Agent to submit their application to the Citizenship by Investment Unit. The Unit will not process any application which has been submitted by anyone other than a licenced Authorised Agent.
Only your Authorised Agent can check on the status of your application. The Unit will not share any information on the status of an application with anyone other than your Authorised Agent. Please be sure to complete and submit your Use of Authorised Agent Form SL2 to ensure that the Unit has your approval to share information on your application with your chosen Authorised Agent.

The Citizenship by Investment Unit will inform your Authorised Agent once your application has been accepted for processing. In order to be accepted for processing by the Unit, your application MUST be fully compliant as per the legislation and guidelines published by the Citizenship by Investment Board.
From the date of notifying your Authorised Agent that your application has been accepted for processing, it will take approximately three months to process your application. Should there be any extenuating circumstances that would cause a delay in the processing of your application, your Authorised Agent will be informed directly by the Unit.
Please be sure that your application is submitted as per the guidelines published by the Citizenship by Investment Board. Failure to do so would mean a delay in the amount of time the Citizenship by Investment Unit takes to accept your application for processing.
Once an application has been accepted for processing, it will be treated on its merit by the Citizenship by Investment Unit. Where there are abnormalities to be addressed, the Unit will contact your Authorised Agent directly.
Otherwise, your application cannot be expedited. All application must go through the process as established by the legislation and the Citizenship by Investment Board.

Whether or not you can reapply if your application has been denied depends on the reason for the denial. In each case, your Authorised Agent will be able to give you an indication of if and when you can reapply.
You can appeal the denial of your application if you feel that there are good grounds to do so. Your Authorised Agent can advise you on how to make an appeal.
Every application received by the Citizenship by Investment Unit will go through the due process that has been established by law. There is therefore no accelerated processing of an application.
Please note that applications will be processed in the order in which they have been received by the Unit.

You can help with your application by making sure that all the information and supporting documents you provide as part of your application is correct and in keeping with the guidelines published by the Citizenship by Investment Board.
Incorrect and/or incomplete information will delay the processing of your application.
You can also help by meeting the qualifying investment within the time allocated to do so. Failure to meet qualifying investment once your application has been approved with delay the granting of your Certificate of Citizenship.
